Year 8 are joining hundreds across Australia for BodyKind August, an initiative led by the Butterfly Foundation to promote positive body image and kindness toward ourselves and others.
Â
BodyKind encourages us to:
This week, our Year 8 students stepped into the shoes of online influencers to explore the power of digital platforms. In small groups, they began crafting BodyKind-inspired content that promotes inclusivity, respect and self-love. We canât wait to see their creations unfold next week!
Â
Research continues to highlight how body image deeply affects young people's wellbeing. BodyKind August supports not only schools, but also families and sporting clubs in having these important conversations.

We kindly remind all students and their parents/carers that mobile phones must be switched off and kept away during school hours. This expectation also applies to text messaging or online communication via laptops throughout the day.
Â
If a student feels unwell during school hours, they must report directly to the office. Our staff will then contact home if necessary. Recently, weâve seen an increase in situations where parents call the office expecting their child to leave early, only to find the student hasnât come to sick bay at all.
Â
To support a consistent approach, we ask that if you receive a message from your child during school hours, please refrain from replying and instead gently remind them of our school guidelines when they return home.
Â
Your partnership helps us keep our students safe and focused on learning. Thank you for your continued support.
