Highvale House Athletics Carnival

On Thursday the 31st of July, the 2025 House Athletics Carnival was held at Bill Sewart Athletics Track. Along with the newly revamped swimming carnival, this is the only whole school event on the calendar, across any faculty or extra-curricular area. An event of this size requires significant planning, and the help of all our staff and full school community. Despite significant challenges in the lead up, we appreciate and thank all staff who attended and helped to ensure the day ran relatively smoothly. The students were active, happy and engaged and together created such a friendly and fun vibe. It was a fantastic day with great weather and some amazing performances on the track and field. The competition was fierce, and produced some outstanding results.

Congratulations to Bunjil house, who took out the overall house trophy on 1311 points.

The full results from the day were:

Overall winning house:

1. ‎Bunjil (Blue) 1311 points

2. Burrimul (Yellow) 1237 points

3. Kaan (Green) 1170 points

4. Marrum (Red) 967 points

- Junior Champions: Jono Lintoo and Jazel Ong

- Senior Champions: Jaslene Ong and Syrus Ong

A fantastic performance by all, and an amazing achievement by the Ong family! These students were selected as the champions, based on the total number of points they scored from winning and placing in events they competed in.

Bunjil house captains will be presented the Dennis Walsh Highvale Athletics Cup and the above award winners will receive their medallions during our next assembly.

Congratulations to all participants and thank you to all who made the day successful.

Students who placed in the top 2 for each event will qualify for the Division Athletics event, to be held on the 22nd of August, also at Bill Sewart Athletics Track. Highvale values its participation in interschool sport, and we want to see all athletes attend and bring a full team!
