Classes for 2027
A reminder that we are beginning to work on allocating students to their 2027 classes. If you have any special requests (such as siblings/cousins being separated or placed together) or other circumstances that warrant consideration to please contact Lisa Duffy via phone or email (lisa.duffy@education.vic.gov.au) to outline your request. Please do not use Xuno for this purpose so that I can ensure requests are kept as confidential as possible. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate genuine requests, I know that families will understand that it is not always possible to honour all preferences.
World Teachers' Day
Today is World Teachers' Day. We celebrated this day a few days earlier at Lockington Consolidated due to staff working days. I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge each of our hard-working and dedicated teachers who strive everyday to make learning meaningful, engaging and fun for our students. The support that they provide to to our students, their families and each other is an integral aspect of our continued success. We are so lucky to have such as wonderful team of teachers at our school.
Happy World Teachers' Day to our amazing teachers and thank you for all that you do!

Graduation and Awards Afternoon
We invite our parents, grandparents and friends of the school to join us in the BER for our Year 6 Graduation Ceremony and Whole School Awards Presentation. This very important event will take place on Wednesday December 16th commencing at 2pm. Our 2026 Year 6 students will be presented with their graduating certificates and gift by their Prep Buddy and they will be given the opportunity to deliver a farewell speech; there will also be an audio-visual presentation to celebrate their journey through the years. There will be a graduation cake to share with their special guests and a photo booth available at the conclusion of the event.
This ceremony will be followed by our whole school awards presentation, families of students receiving awards will be contacted prior to the event via Xuno.
School Council
Council met on Tuesday 20th of October. At this meeting councillors completed their Child Safe Training- which is a mandatory condition of being on school council. We also reviewed where we are at with maintenance and building works around the school.
Our next meeting will be held onsite on Tuesday 10th of November at 6pm.
That's all for this week, Lisa Duffy
