Guling - Year 7's share some of their work

Science

Dermie- In Science we have been studying Chemistry. My favourite things about Science this term has been working with the Deadly Scientists and making the edible crystals.

Nicklisha – We went on a science excursion to learn about chemical reactions and mixtures.

Mooky- At the University of Melbourne we mixed up solids and liquids (salt with oil and water). The salt dissolved in the water, but the salt didn't dissolve in the oil!

Maths

Krish: In my Maths groups we have been learning about arrays and multiplication. We also learnt how to add bigger numbers.

Adam: In my Maths group we have been doing multiplication. At the start of every lesson we have 3 minutes to get 50 out of 50 on our times tables. If we do we go up to the next level.

Writing

Nicklisha: In Writing, we are writing narratives about a God or Goddess. My Goddess controls the dark and the moon.

Mooky: Lucas' God is Spencer the Evil. BOOM A big lightning strikes hits at Bulman and a boy named Spencer becomes evil from a big gush of wind.

Kaley: My Goddess is Kapring-which means emu in peek wurong langauge. She’s the Goddess of Gundijmara. The Grampian fires get closer to Gundijimara and she stops them. Here is my sizzling start. I began with action and onomatopoeia. Crack! Mermaymarr sprints through the bush with a long spear clutched onto his hand. Suddenly, he comes to a stop. The earth is calm, nearly silent. Whoosh! The spear cuts through the air, into the spine of a brown kangaroo. They’re going to have a good feed tonight.

Passion Projects

Finniss- In passion projects I have been designing a Land Cruiser. It has been challenging to paint but I have been enjoying myself.

Nicklisha – I have been designing footballs with Donna and Sharnette. I have put Indigenous designs on my football and have put my Island Warrawi on it.

Nevaeh – We got to go fishing with Mr Max as part of our passion project! It was so much fun! I accidently got my fishing line caught on a canoe!
