Year 11/12 Darebin Division Sport

The first half of Term 2 is the traditional peak period of senior sport, with a range of 6 different sport options.

The senior students are to be commended for their enthusiasm with the preparations for these event days, particularly their commitment to training sessions and team meetings.

Congratulations to our senior girls football and boys netball teams that won their Darebin Division event days and have qualified through to the North Metro Region (NMR) finals!

Years 7-10 Darebin Division Sport

The team sport options in Term 2 are football, netball, soccer and badminton.

Well done to our Year 9/10 girls football and Year 8-10 girls soccer teams that have already won their events and will now progress through to NMR finals next term. Both of these teams went through their event days undefeated!

We also look forward to the majority of junior sport event days that are still coming up later in Term 2.

Darebin Division Cross Country

Cross Country was held on Tuesday May 14 at Bundoora Park. We had some exceptional performances, with 16 of our students qualifying through to regional Cross Country later in Term 2.

The standout race for us was the 12-13 girls age group event where we had 5 of the top 13 runners!

Some exceptional performances, with 4 of our athletes finishing in the top 3 in their respective events: Lynn Kodsi 1st place, Stella Cook, Serge Lynch and Noah Cameron all finished 3rd.

North Metro Region - Swimming

We had four students that proudly represented our school at the NMR Swimming Carnival - Sigrid McArt, Alex Berman, Alasdair Leith and Anika Menz.

Special mention to Alasdair who finished in 3rd place in the boys 14 age group 50 metre breakstroke event, winning our first regional swimming medal in five years!
