Body Image and Eating Disorder Week : 7 - 14 September

Next week at the College, we are putting the spotlight on the Butterfly Foundation and celebrating our very own Body Positivity Week.

 

It is estimated that 16.3% of Australians will be affected by disordered behaviour at some time during their lifetime, with 27% being adolescents between the age of 10-19 years old. We would like to note that we are raising awareness for body positivity over eating disorders. To help raise awareness, the following daily activities are planned:

MondaySkipping on the Basketball Court.
TuesdayBlue hair ribbons will be gifted to students, but feel free to wear your own blue hair accessories.
Wednesday Butterfly collaboration artwork.
Thursday & FridayBring your money to buy blue treats at Cafe 1847 (cash and card accepted).

All donations raised will be going to the Butterfly Foundation, with more information about their services found here.

A reminder to families that if you or your child are struggling with an eating disorder or disordered habits, there is support available, including Daisy (our College Counsellor), Heads of Houses, the Director of Wellbeing and also the Butterfly Foundation hotline: 1800 334 673.
