Science gets Hands on!

Gallery Image

Our Senior Agriculture students recently shared their knowledge with Year 8 as they explored the digestive and body systems through some very hands-on learning!

Students worked together to untangle a goat’s digestive system, identify organs and structures, and investigate how the different parts work together. They even inflated the lungs to see the respiratory system in action!

There were plenty of “Eww!” and “No way!” moments — especially when students discovered that large intestines can be used as sausage casings!

A fantastic example of peer learning, where our Senior Ag students could share their knowledge while Year 8 students got to see real biological structures rather than just pictures in a textbook.

Science is definitely more memorable when you can see it, touch it and occasionally be grossed out by it!
