Recently, the Year 8 SEALP class participated in the 2026 Big Science Competition, an online national science quiz designed to challenge students' scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills across a broad range of disciplines.
The class achieved some excellent results, with two students being awarded a Distinction and one student receiving a High Distinction. These achievements reflect the students’ strong scientific understanding, critical thinking skills, and willingness to embrace challenging questions.
Charlie Ambrus – Distinction
Silka Kruger - Distinction
William Edwards - High Distinction
Overall, the class performed exceptionally well, with many students achieving strong results against a competitive field of participants from across Australia. The competition provided a valuable opportunity for students to extend their scientific thinking and apply their knowledge across a range of topics.
Congratulations to all students who participated and represented the school so well.
