Year 12s – Estimate ATARs

 

Early next term students have the opportunity to obtain an Estimate ATAR range.

This range can be used to assist students with:  

 

  • VTAC preferences and/or applications for early entry University programs
  • The opportunity to set goals and the motivation to gain success
  •  An understanding of the VCAA moderation process 

  • The amount of study required to reach or surpass the prediction.

     

In order to obtain an estimate, students must complete a form with their SAC scores to date. These forms are printed in the common room for students to obtain. 

 

Students must submit this form to me by Friday July 24. After this point in time, no further estimates will be completed. 

 

A meeting will be held early in Term 3 where the process will be explained to students and then they will receive an estimate range (confidentially).

 

There is no pressure to participate, but I would advise they do NOT use the online study score calculators instead as they are not adjusted for our school setting and can result in inaccurate (usually more favourable) estimates.
