Cocktail Fundraiser and Auction | Saturday 12 September

As we look ahead to our major community event of the year – the Cocktail Fundraiser and Auction on Saturday 12 September – I warmly encourage parents, carers, staff, friends and alumni to gather a group and join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening of celebration and excitement for the future.

Funds raised on the night, through ticket sales and our auction, will support future building projects at the College, including the first stage of our vision for a Presentation Arts Precinct – a space designed to inspire creativity, collaboration and excellence for generations of students.

Guests will enjoy drinks, canapés, live jazz from Matthew Ives and his Big Band, a showcase of standout live‑auction items, and a vibrant display of student artwork from across our Junior and Senior Schools.

This event also offers a special opportunity to celebrate the 250‑year legacy of the Presentation Sisters – women whose courage, compassion and commitment to education have shaped generations of students at St Mary’s College. As we honour their remarkable story, we do so with confidence, building on their vision, values and steadfast belief in the transformative power of learning.

Thank you for supporting and engaging with our vision to build a bright, enduring future for our upcoming Visual Arts students. Your contribution helps us foster a strong creative presence and a lasting commitment to the next generation of young artists.

Sacramental Program 2026/27

Please find below a letter from Fr Bernard Perera regarding the St Mary’s Cathedral Parish Sacramental Program, along with the 2026–27 program schedule.

The Sacramental Program is a significant part of the faith formation of our young people, supporting them and their families as they deepen their relationship with Christ and grow in their participation in the life of the Church.

If you would like to enrol your child/ren in the program, or if you have any questions, please contact Annie Jordan, Religious Education Coordinator (Junior School) at ajordan@smc.tas.edu.au
