🏆 Term 3 Highlights
Here are just some of the sporting highlights from this term! Our students have demonstrated determination, teamwork, and school pride in every competition.
🏀Year 11 EIS Basketball Practice Match
On Saturday 10 August, our Year 11 EIS Basketball students hit the court for a practice game against the Goannas Deaf Basketball team, joined by former LHS EIS Basketball teacher, Mr Fyffe.
This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect with and learn from such an accomplished team, while also supporting the Goannas as they prepare for the upcoming Deaflympics.
We thank the Goannas for the match and wish them every success in their competition! 🏀👏
🏓 Intermediate Table Tennis Champions!
On Monday 11 August, 16 Middle School students proudly represented Lilydale High School in Table Tennis at the Kilsyth Basketball Centre.
All four of our teams played with focus, determination, and great sportsmanship. It was a close competition, but LHS came out on top in both the Girls and Boys Divisions!
Both teams will now progress to the next stage, representing our school against the top schools in the Eastern Metro Region.
🌟 Most Valuable Players:
🏅 Sigourney Crocker (9A)

Both were crucial to Lilydale’s success - well done!
A huge congratulations to all of our players for such a fantastic day of competition. 👏

What a fantastic day with five teams representing Lilydale High School - our biggest squad yet! 🙌🏐
A huge congratulations to all students for giving it their all on the court. While we didn’t make it through to finals day, the effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed by everyone was outstanding.
A big thank you to Ms Wyatt and Ms Taylor for their coaching, and to all the parents who cheered from the sidelines - your support truly makes a difference. 👏💜

With 6 schools and over 60 students competing on the day, it was a fantastic showcase of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. 👏
🌟 Standout Performance:
Our LHS2 Girls went undefeated across the day and will now represent LHS at the EMR stage of the tournament – an incredible achievement!
🏅 Most Valuable Players:
Congratulations to Ryder Bombinski and Charli Doughty, who brought outstanding energy and sportsmanship to every game they played.
Well done to all our Year 7 competitors – a great day for LHS!
🎉🏉 EIS Girls North Melbourne Excursion
Last week we had the exciting opportunity to visit the North Melbourne Football Club and see what an AFLW training day looks like.
We started with a tour of the facilities and were able to sit in on team meetings, where the players split into two groups – defence and ball movement. After that, we laced up our boots and headed outside to watch the players train. We were able to have a kick on the oval, and an injured player came over for a chat. We then enjoyed some time watching the team in the gym before heading back for lunch.
To finish off a great day, Kev took us to Macca’s on the way home!
Overall we all had a great day being able to speak to the coaches and be inspired to pursue our dreams whether that's playing or doing one of the many roles needed to get a football club running smoothly.
Thanks Ms Knight and Mr Rogers for this amazing opportunity.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our EIS coaches – Addi and Minnah (Junior Boys), along with Lily, Maggie, Lucy, and Lia for their coaching and scoring support.
