STUDENT SPOTLIGHT!

🎉Student Achievements 🎉
At Lilydale High School, we’re proud to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our students — both inside and outside the classroom!
Parents and Carers if your child has achieved something special outside of school — whether in sport, music, the arts, community service, or any other area - please let your Sub School Office know. We’d love to share and recognise their success with our school community.
🎯 Echuca Clay Target Championships
Congratulations to our outstanding LHS shooters who shone at the Echuca Clay Target Championships! 👏
🏆 Dylan Naylor shot a perfect 30/30 single barrel to take out the Overall Aggregate!
🥇 Riley Hughes Gage was just one target behind on 29/30, taking out the Senior Boys with another 29/30 in the shoot-off!
🥈 Chloe Hughes Gage fired an impressive 26/30 to claim second place in Junior Girls!
But the domination didn’t stop there… 💥 Dylan and Riley teamed up with Lachlan Devine, Taj Durrant, and Nathan Naylor to claim the Teams Event!
⭐ Special mention to Lachlan, who also shot a clean 30/30 but was only qualified to compete in the teams section – an incredible effort!
Amazing shooting by everyone – LHS is super proud of your talent, teamwork, and dedication!
🌟 Celebrating Olivia Burgess
This week we celebrate the incredible sporting achievements of Olivia (Liv) Burgess, one of our talented Year 8 students.
At the beginning of this year, Olivia was selected to represent Victoria in the U17 Girls Australasian Gaelic Féile Championship. She travelled to Perth alongside two other Lilydale High School students, and her team went on to win the championship! 🏆
After being knocked back from the EFNL Interleague Trials in October last year, Olivia was given another opportunity early in the 2025 season. She was successfully selected to play in the 2025 EFNL Interleague U14 Division A Girls Squad, where she went on to receive the MVP Award. 🌟
Olivia also proudly represented her local club, North Ringwood, where she captained the U14 Girls Division A team. Early in the season, she was awarded the Anzac Award for Best Player of the Match. Her team then went on to win this year’s premiership against Beaconsfield, with Olivia named Best on Ground in the Grand Final. 🥇
At the North Ringwood Junior Presentations, Olivia received the Best and Fairest Award for her team.
Most recently, she was also recognised at the EFNL awards night in Burwood, where she was named Runner Up Best & Fairest in the U14 Division A section.
Olivia’s success is the result of her hard work, persistence, and determination. After her Interleague setback in 2024, she committed to pre-season training with the Senior Women’s North Ringwood team, and worked with a private coach in addition to her regular training. Her dedication has truly paid off!
And the best part? Olivia has just been invited to join the AFL Eastern Ranges development squad in 2 weeks! 🎉
Congratulations, Olivia - we are so proud of you!
