Honouring Country through art

Our Intensive English Centre (IEC) art students had the privilege of working with Sharon Egan, a proud Noongar artist and board member of the Fremantle Biennale.
Sharon shared powerful stories of connection to Country, community, and wildlife, encouraging students to reflect on their own roles as caretakers of the land. Guided by her insight, students created their own totem animals, which are meaningful symbols of protection and personal responsibility.
It was a rich and memorable learning experience, blending cultural understanding with creative expression. We thank Sharon for her time, her stories, and her generous spirit.
NAIDOC Week t-shirt art
Using a custom-made stamp, based on the official 2025 NAIDOC Week image “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," students designed and printed their own shirts to wear during the celebrations and take home as a keepsake. A big thanks to our Design and Technology team for bringing the lino-carved artwork to life in stamp form.
