Replanting Day
North Lake Senior Campus students rolled up their sleeves for our annual Replanting Day on August 26. With teamwork and care, they added fresh greenery across the campus and helped lay down a new woodchip path, making our outdoor spaces even more welcoming.
Students enjoyed the hands-on outdoors element, while teachers said the annual affair was key in supporting the mental health of all who spent time on campus.
Principal Gary Anderson said it was "mind blowing" to see students contributing so significantly to the school, while science teacher Kirsten Dahl said it was a clear display of North Lake's commitment to sustainability.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success, your efforts have left a lasting (and leafy) mark on campus.
Sustainability Marketplace
North Lake Senior Campus was buzzing on August 27 as students packed into the gym for the highly anticipated annual marketplace event.
Students browsed stalls filled with plants, books, clothes, art, food, shoes, and household treasures, collecting a stamp at each for a chance to win a fresh fruit and veggie hamper kindly donated by The Organic Collective.
Guest speakers from Bunnings, Containers for Change, and The Wetlands Centre Cockburn encouraged students to be more conscious of their environment, and showed how small actions could lead to big change.
