Subject Selection 2027
During Term 3, the College held two important events to support students and families with subject selection for 2027.
On July 20, students in Years 8–10 participated in our Subject Selection Expo, where they had the opportunity to speak with teachers and learn more about the subjects available to them as they began planning their future pathways.
In the evening, we welcomed our Year 10 students and their families to our VCE Subject Selection Information Evening. Thank you to everyone who attended and engaged with staff throughout the evening. We hope the presentations and conversations helped students and families gain a greater understanding of the VCE program and supported students in making informed decisions about their subject choices for 2027.

As students finalised their choices, we encouraged families to have ongoing conversations about their interests, strengths and future aspirations. Families who required additional support with subject selection or pathway planning were encouraged to contact the College to arrange a meeting with a member of our Careers Team or Learning Team.
Subject Selection Submissions
Students received an email to their College email account containing a link to complete their online Subject Selection Form. The forms opened on Friday 1 August and closed on Friday 14 August 2026.
Once students submitted their selections, parents and carers automatically received an email advising them that their child had submitted their Subject Selection Form. The email included a Review Subject Selection Form link, which opened a read-only version of their child's subject selections. Parents and carers were able to add comments and were then asked to either Approve or Reject the submission.
This process confirmed that parents and carers had reviewed their child's selections and provided the College with an acknowledgement that they had seen the proposed program.
Students were also required to submit any supporting documentation relevant to their pathway choices. This included, where applicable:
- VCE Acceleration Application Forms
- VET Application Forms
- Other required pathway or subject-specific application forms.
All online subject selections and supporting documentation were due by Friday 14 August 2026.
We thank students and families for the time and consideration they invested in the subject selection process. We look forward to supporting our students as they continue to develop their future learning pathways.

NAPLAN Results for Year 7 and Year 9 Students
NAPLAN Individual Student Reports (ISRs) were mailed to families of Year 7 and Year 9 students. These reports provided valuable information about each student's achievement in Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) and Numeracy.
Student results were reported against NAPLAN proficiency standards, which describe the level of knowledge and skills expected of students at the time of testing. Achievement was classified into one of four proficiency levels: Exceeding, Strong, Developing or Needs Additional Support. These standards were designed to be challenging while reflecting what students had typically been taught in previous years of schooling.
The report also allowed families to see how their child performed in comparison with students across Australia. The student's result was shown by a black dot, the national average was indicated by a black triangle, and the lightly shaded box represented the range of results achieved by the middle 60% of students nationally. In some states and territories, the report also included the average result for the student's school.
The final page of the report provided a summary of the skills typically demonstrated by students at each proficiency level, helping families to better understand their child's current learning and areas for future growth.
