From the Principal's Desk

It has been another wonderfully busy time at Springvale Rise Primary School
It has been another wonderfully busy time at Springvale Rise Primary School, with our students embracing opportunities to learn, challenge themselves and celebrate together.
SRPS Swimming Program – Building Confidence in and Around the Water.
Our annual swimming program has been a fantastic success, with our students enthusiastically participating in their swimming and water-safety lessons. Beyond developing their swimming skills, the program has provided our students with important knowledge and confidence around water safety.
It has been wonderful to see all our students encouraging one another, persevering when things are challenging and celebrating their progress. These are exactly the qualities we value at Springvale Rise — Resilience, Respect, Collaboration and Excellence.
A big thank you to our teachers and staff who have supported the program, and to our students for approaching each session with such enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. We are incredibly proud of the progress they have made. A great big shout out to our PE Teachers, Mr Mark Kullar on Springvale Campus and Mr Patrick Roberts on Heights Campus who joined together to make the program such a success.
Book Week – Celebrating the Joy of Reading
Our Book Week celebrations have once again reminded us of the magic that books can bring to our classrooms and our community. Across both campuses, our students have enjoyed exploring stories, characters, authors and the wonderful world of imagination. There has been plenty of discussion, creativity and, of course, some fantastic costumes!
Book Week is about so much more than dressing up. It is an opportunity to nurture a genuine love of reading, encourage curiosity and help our students discover the joy of getting lost in a great story. We know that reading opens doors — to knowledge, imagination, empathy and new possibilities.
Thank you to our teachers and families for supporting our Book Week celebrations and, most importantly, for continuing to encourage our children to be readers.
Not that our staff are competitive – but if I have to declare a winner – I do think that the Heights Campus won the “trophy” this year!! Congratulations Team Heights – you guys rocked it!!
💗 Looking Ahead – Annual Women's Health Forum
Next week we will turn our attention to another very important part of our community calendar — our Annual Community Hub Women's Health Forum. This special event provides an opportunity for the women in our school community to come together, connect, share, and learn with a focus on their own health and wellbeing. It is also a wonderful reflection of the strength of our Community Hub and the relationships we have built with families and community partners.
Our Women's Health Forum has become an important annual event at Springvale Rise, creating a space for women to access information, ask questions, share experiences and make connections; this year at out partner school’s Hub (Dandenong South PS).
From swimming pools to storybooks and from classrooms to community gatherings, there is always something happening at Springvale Rise. Learning, connection and community are at the heart of what we do — and it is wonderful to see these values reflected in so many different ways.
We look forward to another exciting week ahead!Take care and keep smiling.
