From the Principal

As we approach the end of a busy and rewarding term, I would like to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of both staff and students over the past fortnight.

In just the last 10 days, our community has come together to celebrate and participate in a range of important events and initiatives, including our R U OK? Day celebrations, NAIDOC Week activities and assembly, Yagan House Day, the College Art Exhibition and the ACC Athletics Carnival. Each of these occasions reflects the rich opportunities available at Lumen Christi College and the commitment, enthusiasm and teamwork of our students and staff.

As Term 3 draws to a close, our attention now turns to a significant milestone for our Year 12 students as they prepare for their final full day as Lumen Christi College students.

Next Friday promises to be a memorable celebration, with our Year 12s enjoying a staff-cooked breakfast, whole-school assembly, Minute-to-Win-It and Amazing Race challenges, and a sausage-sizzle lunch followed by the ever-popular Colour Run.

While this marks the end of regular classes for our Year 12 cohort, it is not quite goodbye. Students will return in Term 4 for Graduation on 23 October and, for many, to complete their school-based and ATAR examinations. We wish them every success and hope they thoroughly enjoy this special day of celebration and reflection

God Bless,

Karen Prendergast
