Bishop Rene Ramirez RCJ ~ Ninth Bishop of Sandhurst
Over the term break, it was announced that Pope Leo XIV appointed Bishop Rene Ramirez as our ninth Bishop of Sandhurst.
We look forward to welcoming Bishop Rene and wish him every blessing in his ministry and leadership in the Sandhurst Diocese.
ANZAC Day
In the lead up to ANZAC Day, our students were engaged in learning about the significance of this important day and time, reflecting on the values of courage, mateship and resilience. Our College Captains, Charli and Dylan, paid their respects on behalf of our College community by placing a wreath beneath our Lone Pine Tree and presenting alongside Kyabram P-12 College Captains at the Kyabram ANZAC Day service on Saturday 25th April.
‘Lest We Forget’

Enhancing Catholic School Identity Surveys
Thank you to our incredible school community for their efforts in completing our ECSI surveys! This was last undertaken at St Augustine’s College in 2022 and previously in 2019. Feedback collected from students, families and staff enable us to examine and review the data, which provides significant and excellent feedback and information regarding our Catholic Identity and our community.
Thank you again for taking the time to support us with this. We will announce our draw winners shortly!
Masses and Liturgies
We celebrated our Easter Liturgy on the last day of Term 1. Our Student Leaders led our service beautifully as we reflected on Lent and the significance of this time, the Stations of the Cross, Project Compassion stories, the Easter story and our own lives and experiences.

Sandhurst Switches Off
Next Wednesday, 6th May, we will be participating in Sandhurst Switches Off. It is a symbol of our care for creation and our common home.
“If we approach nature and the environment without this openness to awe and wonder, if we no longer speak the language of fraternity and beauty in our relationship with the world, our attitude will be that of masters, consumers, ruthless exploiters, unable to set limits on their immediate needs.”
(Laudate Si, Pope Francis, p. 17).

Loving God, As we begin this new term, we thank You for the gift of our school community.
Fill our hearts with hope, our minds with wisdom, and our days with kindness and purpose.
Guide our learning, strengthen our friendships, and help us to reflect Your love in all we do.
May this term be filled with growth, joy, and peace. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
