MLC Newsletter Write Up Week 4
Swimming Carnival
We are very proud of our MLC students who gave their all last Monday at the St. Joseph’s Swimming Carnival. For our Year 3 students it was their first taste of the huge occasion and our Year 4 students showed off their great skills they had all been practicing the week before in our swimming program!
We would like to congratulate the students from the MLC who represented St. Joseph’s at the Division Swimming Championships in Shepparton on Wednesday, we heard from Mr. Powell and Mrs Florence how well you swam and how well you represented St. Joseph’s.
Fete
The fete is coming up quickly and we would like to remind our families to bring in their raffle tickets and mystery hamper items. Each class has a hamper theme and we would appreciate it if you could find something to go in your child’s class hamper.

Literacy
During our Literacy block the Year 3 children have been reading ‘Matilda’ & the Year 4’s have been reading ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’. Please feel free to chat to your child about these books and what they have been learning.
Guitar Heros
In Year 4 we were lucky enough to be entertained by 2 up and coming electric guitar rockstars, Valen and Joe. We were amazed to hear that both the boys, although not having played for very long, entertained us with a variety of songs and tricks and inspired us to get our dancing shoes on!
