Dear Parents and Caregivers

25th Anniversary & Feast Day Celebrations

What a wonderful Mass and week of celebrations to acknowledge our 25th Anniversary and Feast Day last week! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all our staff for planning and participating in the week's activities, culminating in the Mass on Friday morning, co-celebrated by Fr Bona and Fr Francis. A special mention to Miss Melissa Myles for her efforts over the last year to compile and share a digital history of the last 25 years at St Helena's Catholic Primary School.

Please take the time to appreciate our wonderful new art piece outside the Undercover Area, symbolising the 25 years of St Helena's and all who have been, are and will be a part of this wonderful school! Thank you to our St Helena's P&F who have kindly contributed funds towards the art work and installation. We also hope you enjoy seeing 'Hello' in the windows in the Administration and 'Welcome' in the Undercover Area windows, in the different languages, acknowledging and respecting the many cultures we have at St Helena's.

Choir and Liturgical Dancers

Congratulations to our Choir and Miss Claire Robinson for your efforts in the Performing Arts last week. We look forward to One Big Voice this Thursday evening too! All the best to our Liturgical Dancers who are performing in the Performing Arts Festival on Friday 30 August. Thanks Mrs Joanna Bukara for preparing the dancers and to Mrs Summer Durandt for assisting the students as well.

Welcome to St Helena's Catholic Primary School

This week we welcomed back Mrs Audrey Clancy and Mrs Jess Parker as our Science Specialist Teachers for the rest of 2024. It is great to have you back at St Helena's Audrey and Jess!

Book Week Parade

I hope our students and staff (parents and caregivers too if you like) have their Book Week costume ready. This year's Book Week Parade will take place on Thursday 29 August, promptly at 8:30am.

Father's Day Breakfast and Liturgy

Looking forward to our Father's Day Breakfast and Liturgy coming up on Friday 30 August at 7:30am. All our fathers and father figures are welcome to come along. Hope to see you all there!

Learning Journey

It would be wonderful to see all families make the effort to attend our Learning Journey on Tuesday 3 September between 4:00pm and 6:00pm at St Helena's Catholic Primary School. Come along and have a look at what is happening in your child/ren's classroom and specialist classes. Come and enjoy the Book Fair set up in the Library the Art Exhibition in the Music Room, admiring the student's creative visual arts talents. We also have ExACT student's projects in the Kooditj room and our Choir and Liturgical Dance performances on during the afternoon to celebrate the many talents we have at SHCPS.

At St Helena's, we are a Christ-centred and a child-focused community,

always striving to do Something Beautiful for God.

Peace & Happy Days!
