Our Year 7 Netball program continues to be a fantastic opportunity for students to get active, and develop their skills. Held every Thursday morning from 7.30am to 8.30am, the program provides a fun and supportive environment for students of all experience levels.

We are extremely fortunate to have Mr David Sollberger training our students, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to each session. David began his sporting journey playing high-level basketball as a teenager before transitioning to netball. His passion for the game has seen him represent Victoria, where he captained the U19 Victorian men’s netball team to a national championship and compete in three national tournaments.

David has played mixed netball for over 20 years and spent four years coaching at the Pakenham Lions Netball Club, where he obtained his Intermediate Netball Australia coaching qualifications. Since 2025 he has been coaching at Emerald Netball Club. He is passionate about helping players of all abilities get the most out of the sport, whether they are beginners or competing at a high level and strongly believes in the role sport plays in developing individuals both on and off the court.

Each week he is supported by Ms Rhodes-Anderson, who is highly experienced and skilled in netball, ensuring students receive high-quality coaching and guidance.

Throughout the program, students develop a wide range of skills, including passing, shooting, footwork and defensive strategies. They also build important teamwork and communication skills, learning how to work together effectively on the court. Beyond the physical aspects, the program helps students grow in confidence and sportsmanship. Most importantly, students have a great time.
