Expanding global perspectives through our Sister School partnership

Pakenham Secondary College is proud of its Sister School Partnership with Ridge Valley School in Gurugram, India. Developing this relationship is enriching our students’ global learning and broadening their understanding of different perspectives, cultures, lifestyles, traditions and international issues.

Throughout 2026, our Year 8 Enhancement students have the opportunity to participate in a virtual Sister School Program with Ridge Valley School. Through video conferencing, students from both schools will collaborate on a project exploring the significant impact of climate change on various countries, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action.

This program offers students a valuable opportunity to broaden their cultural awareness and global perspective, enhance teamwork and collaboration skills and develop leadership, confidence and communication.

Last week, our students enjoyed their first meeting with their counterparts in India. Both school communities are looking forward to continuing this valuable partnership and the important learning opportunities it provides for students.
