This fortnight in reading, we have been learning how to decode some more difficult words that don't make sense, by flipping some sounds. We call this the "Flippy dolphin" strategy (a, e, i, o, u, y, c and g are all sounds that can flip to make another sound eg music, giraffe, bacon. We have also been learning about "SUPER E" at the end of words. Super E can jump over the tall building, use his powers to flip the vowel to say its name and then he flies away and we don't hear from him again. eg cake, rope.
