ANZAC Day Melbourne Service

Did you see these great pictures?

An excerpt from the 2/24th Battalion's 'Furphy Flyer Newsletter':

Thank you to everyone who took part in the ANZAC Day events. It is great that we are still an active and committed association.

Thank you to the members who marched, and especially to those who marched with us for the first time. The Association was smartly ‘turned out’ and a credit to the memory of the Battalion. Watching the March on TV, the 2/24 was in sharp contrast to many other rambling units.

An enormous thank you to Deputy Principal of Wangaratta High School, Ms Sheri Parkhouse, for escorting the Prefects and driving the bus that brought them to Melbourne for the March and Reunion. Thank you Sheri for your enthusiasm and involvement.

A long day for the Prefects from Wangaratta High who acted as Banner Bearers for the March and were guests at the Luncheon. Thanks to Mae Jayet, Millie Meggs, Hayden Currie, Anthony Chisholm, Lillian Oats-Mason and Swaye Frankland – our Student Ambassador.

Representatives of the Association were present at the Anzac Day Services at Galen College and Wangaratta High School.
