The Next Step: Equestrian Nationals

An incredible opportunity for year 8 girl Lacy Solimo as she tackles the next stage of championships

Recently, year 8 student Lacy Solimo competed in the Victorian Interschool Championships in Werribee and was successful in making qualifying place, sending her on to the national championships in Tamworth later this year!

Lacy and her horse Park Avenue William participated in the Working Hunter, intermediate age group.

With nearly 500 competitors, 18 years and under, competing in five disciplines over five days, action in every corner of the grounds at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, the competition was fierce with this event also being a qualifier for the Australian Interschool Nationals that will be hosted by Equestrian Queensland in Tamworth this September.

Lacy placed 5th overall on the day and was lucky to make qualifying place, placing 4th as another contender withdrew from attending Nationals.

We are incredibly proud of Lacy and her commitment to her chosen sport. We cannot wait to hear how nationals pan out.

Best of luck Lacy!
