Year 10 Geelong Camp

From Tuesday 6 May to Friday 9th May, our Year 10 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure in Geelong. The week was packed with exciting activities that challenged and inspired, including surfing, mountain biking, abseiling, and raft building.

Students also had the opportunity to visit Werribee Open Range Zoo, getting up close with incredible wildlife, and explored future pathways with visits to Monash and Deakin University, helping them begin to think about life beyond secondary school.

The week concluded with the much-anticipated Year 10 Formal — a truly memorable evening filled with laughter, dancing, and celebration.

Well done to all students for their enthusiastic participation and to staff for their support in making this such a successful and enriching experience!

VCE Vocational Major Market Day

A huge congratulations to our VCE Vocational Major students, led by Mrs Jacinta Slattery and Mrs Kirralee Carstairs, for the outstanding success of this year’s Market Day! Weeks of planning, organisation, and commitment culminated in a seamless and vibrant event that truly showcased the talents and teamwork of our senior students.

Held in Marcellin Hall on Tuesday 13th May during recess and lunch, the student-led Market Day featured a variety of stalls offering handmade goods, woodwork products, plants, clothing, and delicious food that was all thoughtfully created as part of the students’ learning program.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the many teachers who generously supported the event by contributing class time and resources toward product development. Your involvement played a key role in the event's success.

We are thrilled to share that Market Day raised over $1300, which will be donated to support communities inTimor Leste. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the dedication and compassion of our students.

Year 8 Geography Students Explore Buchan Caves Reserve

On Monday 19th May, our Year 8 students embarked on an exciting Geography excursion to Buchan Caves Reserve, bringing their Landscapes and Landforms unit to life through hands-on exploration.

Set against the backdrop of crisp autumn sunshine, the excursion provided students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of mountain and karst landscapes. Highlights of the day included visiting significant features such as the Devil's Punchbowl sinkhole, where students observed geomorphic processes in action and practiced the important Geography skill of field sketching.

This engaging day out not only reinforced classroom learning but also inspired curiosity about the natural world. A big thank you to the dedicated staff who supported the excursion, your efforts helped make the day a memorable and rewarding experience for all involved.
