Athletics Carnival 

SSV State Swimming 

Catholic College has had some terrific results in the recent School Sport Victoria State Swimming Finals.

Xavier Gray had another brilliant meet, claiming two silver medals in the 14 Years Boys 50m Butterfly (27.90 seconds) and 50m Freestyle (26.60 seconds), and a third placing in the 50m Backstroke (30.89 seconds).

Xavier then capped off the day as a member of the CCS 14 Years Boys 4x50m relay team, Remy Stephenson, Lincoln Fulford and Jack Murphy, who finished 5th in a time of 2:07.70

Congratulations as well to the members of our 17 Girls 4x50m relay team – Alannah Burley, Malia Carrick, Isabelle Haskew and Maya Mason – who finished 7th in a time of 2:28.15. 

We had a brilliant opening round of the 2025 School Sport Victoria AFL competition, with five of a possible six teams winning through to the Gippsland Finals the past fortnight.

• Intermediate Year 9/10 Girls
• Year 8 Boys
• Year 7 Boys

Our Junior Year 7/8 Girls team had a great day, but unfortunately went down to a rampant Lavalla Catholic College side in the Final.

Our Intermediate Boys team are set to play on Tuesday 20th May for a spot at the Region Finals. 

A big thank you to the coaches who have mentored and supported these teams so far.
