Boot Camp 

Year 7 students began the year with two days of “Boot Camp”, designed to help them learn the comings and goings of Secondary School. All Year 7 students participated in a range of activities aimed at familiarising themselves with the school grounds and understanding what it means to be a Secondary student.

Activities included:

• Room scavenger hunts
• A visit to the Wellbeing Centre
• Using devices and an introduction to Lion
• Learning how to use and unlock their lockers
• Understanding timetables and organising textbooks

Students appreciated the opportunity to ask questions about Secondary school and to develop the skills they need for this exciting next stage of their journey.

Over the past four weeks, our Year 7 students have shown that they are ready for secondary school. They have settled into their classes, embraced new routines, and demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new subjects.
