Deakin Young Leader Award

If you’re a Year 11 student who demonstrates leadership, initiative and a commitment to positive change through contribution to school, community and academic life, and demonstrate strong academic capability, the Deakin Young Leader Award is for you.

This prestigious award gives you a chance to be recognised for your achievements and gain a unique edge for your future opportunities. Recipients of the award receive a $5,000 scholarship to Deakin University to begin study in 2028.

Applications are now open, and close on Friday 28 August. You can apply directly via the website, deakin.edu.au/young-leader-award.  Winners will be announced on 17 September.

Year 10 University of Melbourne Young Scholars Program opportunity

Year 10 students have the opportunity to gain a head start on university life while completing Year 11 and 12. Successful applicants will have access to exclusive Melbourne University  events and academic enrichment activities for two years prior to transition to university. Selection considerations include endorsement from school, academic performance and leadership potential.
