Parliament of Victoria and Old Treasury Building Excursion

Our students enjoyed a wonderful day exploring Victoria's rich history and learning about democracy during their excursion to the Parliament of Victorian and the Old Treasury Building.

At Parliament House, students discovered how laws are made and learned about the important role elected representatives play in making decisions for our community. They explored the historic chambers, sat as ministers and voted as parliamentarians to gain a deeper understanding of how democracy works in Australia.

At the Old Treasury Building, students stepped back in time to learn about Victoria's history through a guided tour and engaging exhibits. They explored stories of the gold rush, government, and the people who helped shape our state.

The excursion brought classroom learning to life and gave students a valuable opportunity to see democracy in action. We were proud of the curiosity, enthusiasm and parliamentary acting our students demonstrated throughout the day.
