ST HELENA FEAST DAY

Last Tuesday on our Feast Day, our students spent time learning about the life of our patron saint, St Helena. Through classroom activities and discussions, students discovered how St Helena's faith, courage and determination continue to inspire us today.

St Helena lived in the fourth century and is remembered for her deep Christian faith and her commitment to sharing God's love with others. She is particularly known for her pilgrimage to the Holy Land, where she helped identify important sites connected to the life of Jesus, including his Cross. St Helena was the mother of Constantine the Great, who would later become the first Roman Emperor to embrace Christianity. Although she came from humble beginnings, Helena remained faithful throughout her life and used her influence to help others and support the Church. As a mother, she is remembered for raising her son with strong values and for encouraging a life of faith. Her dedication to seeking the truth and serving God reminds us of the importance of faith, perseverance and kindness in our own lives.

Students explored different aspects of St Helena's life and reflected on how they can follow her example in their everyday actions.

As a school community, we are always learning more about St Helena and the example she sets for us. May we continue to follow in her footsteps by living with faith, showing kindness to others, and striving to make a positive difference in our world each day.
