Spotlight on Learning
Dear Families,
Thank you to all the families and special visitors who joined us for our Father’s Day celebrations. It was wonderful to welcome you to our school and see our students enjoying this special time with the important people in their lives. We hope you enjoyed the celebration and wish all fathers, grandfathers and special people in our community a very happy Father’s Day.

Religious Education:
In Week 9 for Religious Education, students will be learning about the words, actions and gestures used during the Mass. They will explore how parts of the Mass come from Scripture and develop their understanding of the Mass as the highest form of prayer in the Catholic Church.
English:
Next week in English, students will be learning to plan a resolution for a simple meeting narrative. They will focus on how to bring a story to a clear and satisfying ending by resolving the main problem or event.
Mathematics:
In Week 9 for Mathematics, students will be exploring probability by ordering familiar events from least likely to most likely. They will use everyday examples to discuss and compare the chance of different events occurring.
Integrated Curriculum:
In Week 9 for Integrated Studies, students will be learning how actors rehearse with purpose to strengthen a performance. They will practise making deliberate drama choices, staying in character during key moments and working collaboratively to improve their scenes.
Auslan:
Next week in Auslan, students will complete their End of Cycle Assessment, where they will present the signed story they have created and rehearsed. Students will also revisit and revise signs learned throughout the year, strengthening their recall and confidence. Through a range of engaging games and activities, students will have opportunities to practise and apply familiar signs in different contexts.
Social & Emotional Learning:
Next week in Social and Emotional Learning, students will be exploring R U OK? Day and learning how to notice when someone might need support. They will practise ways to check in with others, ask “R U OK?” in their own way, and understand the importance of listening and seeking help from a trusted adult when needed.
