Welcome to New Staff
Miss Chelsea Scott-Hayward
My name is Chelsea and I teach Secondary Mathematics and Science in Years 7, 8 and 10 at Christway College.
I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive and familiar community. Having once been a student here myself, it is very special to now return as a teacher and contribute to the growth and learning of current students. I am especially excited about building strong relationships with my classes and helping students develop confidence in their abilities. I look forward to being part of the school’s future and supporting students’ academic and spiritual growth.
Prior to joining the Christway College staff, I was studying Science and Secondary Teaching at Monash University, where I developed my passion for education and deepened my understanding of how students learn. Before that, I completed Prep through to Year 12 at Christway College, graduating in 2021. My experiences as a student here have strongly shaped who I am today and inspired me to return in a teaching capacity.
Outside of work, spending quality time with family and friends is very important to me, whether that involves game nights or dinner and dessert with my sisters. I also enjoy a variety of activities that help me relax and stay active. I love getting outdoors for a run or walk, or heading to the beach, and I’m just as happy spending time crocheting or watching movies to unwind.
