Harmony Day

Christway College Celebrates Harmony Day – 26 March 2026

Christway College celebrated Harmony Day alongside its Social Wellbeing focus, promoting cultural diversity, inclusivity, and students’ confidence. Harmony Day, nationally on 21 March, aligns with the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and carries the message Everyone Belongs. Orange, the day’s signature colour, symbolised meaningful conversations, social connections, and mutual respect.

Students wore traditional clothing or orange attire, brought a gold coin donation, and enjoyed a Cultural Bake Sale at recess. A Whole School Assembly was held at 8.45am, with certificates awarded to the best-dressed students in each class.

The day celebrated Australia’s rich cultural diversity and encouraged everyone to stand together in harmony. All proceeds from Harmony Day - nearly $1,000 raised - will go to support refugees (Foundation House). Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this meaningful initiative a success.
