The Aspirant Leaders

Our Year 7 & 8 students in the specialist program 'The Aspirant Leaders' were rewarded for their hard work and commitment to our EMC program. Last week, we participated in a whole day GRIP Leadership Conference at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This rewarding experience allowed students to build on their existing leadership skills and develop new ones. We worked individually and also small groups and had the opportunity to learn new skills in 'break out rooms.' Our day consisted of confidence building sessions, learning about different aspects of leadership in the community and knowing that it takes a team with multiple abilities to successfully launch a program or event. This conference was spectacular and worthwhile for everybody who participated.

From students through to experienced teaching staff, we all were able to strengthen our skills in various areas from this engaging, eye-opening and brilliant conference.

Thank you to all of the participating students who represented our EMC College values to a very high standard.
