Top Class Drama - Lily Buckley

Congratulations, Lily!

Lily performed at the VCAA Season of Excellence: Top Class Drama on Tuesday, 11th March at 10:00 AM!

This incredible achievement recognises Lily’s hard work, dedication, and talent, earning her an A+ on her Drama Solo Performance Examination last year.

Top Class is an annual concert series presented by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) showcasing outstanding performances by VCE and VCE VET students from schools across the state.

This year, 52 top performing students were invited to audition for Top Class Drama, and only 19 students were selected to perform. Selected performers exemplify the skill and creativity that can be achieved within the VCE curriculum.

Join us in celebrating this amazing accomplishment—congratulations, Lily!

Year 10/11 Theatre Studies - Top Class

On the 12th of March, VCE Theatre Studies students and Year 9 and 10 Page to Stage students got the amazing opportunity to see the top scoring Theatre Studies students from last year in the Elisabeth Murdoch Theatre at Melbourne Recital Centre.

We watched students perform their high scoring monologues. Excerpts from ‘Fangirls’, ‘Hamlet’ and ‘His Dark Materials’ were explored through design, acting and direction. As a Year 11 student this was an exceptional sight into what’s to come for me and my peers for Year 12. Shayla Maxwell, from the Year 9 Theatre Studies class said that, “Top Class was super fun and something really different as there were monologues I’ve never seen performed before. I found it intriguing, and the experience made me excited for my years to come in theatre studies".

On behalf of everyone who attended on Wednesday I think I can say that we all thoroughly enjoyed the Top Class for 2025 and are excited to see what we can create for our Theatre Studies futures with the inspiration provided.

College Production - 9 to 5!

We are thrilled to announce that our 2025 College Production will be ‘9 to 5 The Musical’!

This lively, fun-filled show is based on the iconic film and features music by Dolly Parton. It tells the story of three determined women who take on the corporate world with humour, heart, and a message of empowerment that’s still relevant today. Our Production Team is incredibly excited to bring this production to life and make creative adjustments to suit our school audiences, while maintaining the spirit and energy of the original. From vibrant choreography to powerful musical numbers, 9 to 5 will be an unforgettable experience for our students, families, and the broader school community.

Tickets will go on sale via TryBooking in June.
