February Achievement of the Year Nominee

Will Mayers

Our 2025 College Sports captain, Will Mayers has been exceptional throughout his time at EMC. As captain of the Senior boys cricket team, Will was given the ball to bowl the last over of the game, needing to take a wicket and not concede any runs to give his team a chance to win and progress to the Grand Final. Will did just that taking 1 wicket and on the last ball of the game, the opposition scrambled through to take a single and progress the game to a Super Over. We batted first and made 7 runs off the over, and once again the ball was given to Will. With ice in his veins, Will bowled a perfect over taking a 2 wicket maiden, progressing his team through to the Grand final where again Will displayed exceptional skill and leadership with the team winning the final and will head off to Region Finals next week.

Outstanding performance and one to be incredibly proud of. Congratulations Will on being this months Achievement of the Year Nominee.
