The Sport Honour Board at Elisabeth Murdoch College recognises the extraordinary achievements and contributions of students and staff in sporting endeavours, whether within the College, the broader community, or at national and international levels. It honours those who have gone above and beyond reasonable expectations, inspiring current students to uphold the highest community standards and values.

Service To Sport

This award recognises the contributions and dedication shown by staff and students to the sports program. Recipients of this award have demonstrated commitment and active involvement within the sports program. These individuals have had a positive impact and worked towards building the program for the future.

Rising Star

This award recognises those who are identified as progressing towards the pinnacle within their chosen endeavour. These nominees have been exceptional within their chosen field, representing the College and broader school community with the utmost respect and honour.

Legend of EMC

This award recognises the achievements of those who have demonstrated excellence within their chosen field, competing and achieving success at a representative level. 

This award acknowledges these individuals’ dedication and achievements within their chosen field.

Hall of Fame

The highest achievement, the Elisabeth Murdoch College Hall of Fame award recognises recipients for their superlative achievements within their chosen endeavour. Hall of Fame inductees are recognised by the selection committee and will be determined on their distinguished achievements and contribution within their chosen field.

Interschool Sport

With all our Interschool Sport done for the year, we’ve had numerous teams take on Region including Hockey, Cricket and Basketball.

Results:

Congratulations to Chase Hiku who had 100 runs against Berwick in the Year 8 Boys Cricket Region ¼ Finals.

We have three more teams competing to finish off the year, Year 8 Boys Basketball, Year 8 Boys cricket in the Semi Finals and Year 7 Girls Basketball, we wish you luck!

Athletics

We were lucky enough to have a number of students represent EMC at Region and State Athletics this term! With 35 students competing at Region, many of them placed in the top 3, some even taking home 1st! Well done to everyone who competed!

Out of the 35 students to represent EMC at Region, we had 7 at State.

• Grady Woods competed in the 18-20 Boys 100m and 200m placing 2nd in both. 
• Emma Haley competed in the 17 Girls 200m and placed 5th
• Katelyn O’Sullivan competed in the 15 Girls High Jump and placed 6th

• Asha Morrow competed in the 15 Girls 1500m and placed 1st and our 18-20 Girls Relay with Emma Haley, Kiara Mavondo, Sophie Walker and Chloe Madigan placed 3rd!

Uniform Update

Very exciting to have the interschool sports uniform available for purchase in the uniform shop!

Students have the option to purchase interschool sports uniform and will be assigned a number by the sports team which will remain their number for all sports uniform purchase. This number will follow students through the journey in sport at EMC while holding a personal and special meetings that each athlete.

• Basketball shorts (coming soon) $35 
• AFL jumpers $40 
• Multi-purpose shirts $38 
• Netball dresses $55 
• Athletic/cross country single $38 

The uniform shop is open:

Tuesday 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM 

Thursday 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Please note buying Interschool school sports uniform does NOT secure your spot in a team, Sport Signups and Try outs will determine the team that represents the College 

Interschool Sports uniform may only be worn on Interschool sports days NOT PE classes

Langwarrin Family Chiropractic Achievement of the Year Award

This months nominees are the State Senior Girls Relay team! Emma, Kiara, Sophie and Chloe came third at state against 7 other schools! With the chance of not even having a relay team at Division, these girls managed to win both Division and Region! With a few name changes across all three comps, these girls never gave up. Well done girls, this nomination is well deserved!
