Principal Message

Dear Families and Community,
As we approach the halfway point of Term 4, there is a strong sense of focus and accomplishment across the College. Our VCE students are currently undertaking their final examinations, and we are incredibly proud of the determination, resilience, and maturity they have demonstrated throughout this important period. Their efforts reflect the values of hard work and perseverance that underpin our school community, and we wish them every success as they complete their secondary education.
Across the College, students and staff are engaged in a vibrant calendar of activities celebrating both learning and achievement. Langwarrin’s Got Talent once again showcased the impressive creativity and confidence of our students, whilst our first ever Middle School Musical (High School Musical), which promises to be a highlight of the term, kicks off tonight!
We are also preparing to welcome our newest students and families at the upcoming Meet the Principal Evening and Orientation Day—events that mark the beginning of their journey with us. These occasions are always special opportunities to foster connection and belonging within our school community.
In the coming weeks, we will celebrate excellence through our Middle and Senior School Awards Ceremonies, recognising academic success, leadership, and contributions to College life. The year will culminate with our Valedictory Presentation Evening, where we will honour the graduating class for their achievements and wish them well in the next stage of their lives.
Step up is fast approaching. 17th of November is when our students will transition into their new subjects and classes. The final week prior to step up is critical in the sense that teachers will be finalising key assessment and reports.
In middle school, there will be lots of different activities happening for the remainder of the term. Please keep an eye out on compass in relation to upcoming events, particularly the End of Year Activities.
Finally, I encourage all students to continue giving their best as the year concludes. Whether in exams, performances, or classroom learning, let us all finish the year with pride and purpose. That includes attending all classes, wearing correct uniform and bringing the relevant and necessary equipment to all class.
Thank you to our staff and families for your ongoing support, encouragement, and commitment to our shared goal of nurturing every learner to reach their full potential.
Kind regards,
Matt Hyden.
Assistant Principal.
