Attendance Matters – Edition 9
Focus: Step Up Ready & Preparing for the New Academic Year
Dear Parents. carers and students,
Welcome to the ninth edition of Attendance Matters.
As we approach Step-Up, this final week of classes remains a vital part of your child’s learning program. Lessons are focused on consolidating key skills, completing final tasks and assessments, and preparing for the new academic year.
We are aware that some students may indicate classes are less structured in the final week; however, all lessons remain purposeful and focused on learning. The timetable below outlines the subject-specific activities and assessments planned to ensure students finish well in the lead-up to Step-Up.
Example:
| Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | |
| English | Creative writing reflections and goal setting | Novel study review and discussion activities | Grammar and vocabulary revision | Reading comprehension and annotation practice | Preparing for Step-Up English expectations |
Your child’s attendance and engagement this week are essential. Remaining on-site and completing their full program supports their academic progress, maintains routine, and sets a strong foundation for success in 2026.
We appreciate your continued support in reinforcing these expectations and helping your child finish positively and prepared for Step-Up.
