Japan day
Japanese Update
We have another exciting term coming up in Japanese!
Noriko Sensei
We are fortunate enough to have Noriko Sensei joining us again in various classes until the end of the year. Although her timetable is still being finalised, she began in some of our Buninyong Japanese classes on Monday. She will also be a fantastic support during Scotsburn Japanese lessons throughout the year.
Japan Festival Day
In Week 3 on Friday May 3rd, we will be holding our annual Japan Festival Day. We have some really exciting musical performances booked as well as manga, kendo and karate workshops across all year levels.
There will be a delicious Japanese themed lunch available through the canteen, our friends at Fed Uni Catering are helping us out with a Japanese Stir Fry Noodle dish which can either be vegetarian or with chicken.
Orders are open now on QKR and will close on Monday the 29th April at 11am. No late orders can be taken. The normal canteen menu will not be available on Japan Day.
The ever-popular Japan Shop will be returning. Items sold at the Japan Shop will help in raising funds for our upcoming Japan Trip. (More detail on this soon).
Students may also come dressed in Japanese themed costumes on the day. These can be as simple as wearing the colours of the Japanese flag to ninjas, Pokémon, Japanese food, or kimonos! It's up to you and always wonderful to see the imaginative outfits on the day.
We look forward to celebrating with you all.
