We are getting excited for Book Week when we will have some fun book themed activities, author talks, a book swap and of course our fantastic Book Week Parade on Friday the 28th of August.
Each day the library is open to students for the first half of our lunchtime break. During Book Week there will be extra art and craft activities to do, each based on a different short-listed book. Kids have already been enjoying Jess’ Book Week displays, along with all the short-listed books that are ready to read. We are counting down the days to Book Week!
On Friday, August 28th, students are allowed to dress as a book character to celebrate Book Week. Please be mindful of our younger students and ensure the chosen book characters are not too scary, and don’t have weapons. We will be gathering in the gym at 9:05am until 9:45am and students will get to do a lap of the gym, parading their costumes for all to see. Parents are welcome to attend.
Our Book Swap to raise money for Story Dogs will take place on Friday, after the parade.
