Bonjour!

What a great day we had on Tuesday this week for our French Day!

Merci beaucoup to all students, parents, staff and canteen ladies for a great celebration of French culture. Magnifique!

Students enjoyed dressing up in French colours and costumes, eating French food and watching the entertainment by Global Grooves in the Stadium. 

BPPS's Annual in-house French Poetry Recitation Competition has commenced this term.

Students have been assigned a poem to memorise in French and will present to their peers in week 7. These poems are posted on Seesaw.

This is a great learning activity to hone French authentic pronunciation. It also supports student in developing skills relating to preparation, experiencing and delivering effective public speaking with confidence and audience engagement.

Students will vote, using set poetry recitation criteria, and 3 finalist from each class level will compete against other class finalists to achieve overall placings. In composite classes students will compete against students in their own level only.

Prizes comprising of CL&S awards, French certificates, books and stationery will be awarded early in Term 4.
