What’s Happening in Science?
We are wrapping up a busy and exciting Term 3 in the Science Department.
Our Year 12 students are in the final stages of preparing for their end-of-year exams.
To support their revision, they have been completing practice exams and receiving detailed formative feedback to strengthen their knowledge and exam technique.
In Year 12 Chemistry, students recently attended a VCE Masterclass at KIOSC.
This unique experience gave them access to advanced analytical chemistry technologies and techniques not typically available in schools.
The program was designed to complement the Unit 4 curriculum and deepen students’ understanding of how theory translates into real-world applications.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Grade 5 students from local primary schools into our labs. They took part in a range of hands-on science activities, giving them a taste of the engaging and practical science learning on offer here at Scoresby. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were a highlight for both staff and students.
It has been a term filled with hard work, exciting opportunities, and inspiring learning across all year levels — and we look forward to building on this momentum in Term 4.
