VCE Vocational Major (VM)
Our Vocational Major students have spent time during Term 3 in weekly sessions completing the 'Bluelight CoRE' Initiative.
This program gave our students opportunity to engage and connect with multiple community partners that included Victoria Police, Parks Victoria, Headspace and Outdoor Educators.
Activities included, clean up Australia excursions, bushwalking, barbeques, resilience challenges, weekly morning teas, and sharing circles. We were also inspired by numerous guest speakers who shared stories of their journeys and challenges.
It was impressive to see our VM students actively and fully engage in a respectful way.
The students were also grateful and appreciative to receive their 'Bluelight Hoodies' as a reward for their involvement.

Road to Zero excursion
Our VCE VM students attended the Road to Zero education centre to explore the science and impact of road safety in Victoria.
Through interactive exhibits and real-life case studies, students learnt about the factors that contribute to road trauma and the strategies being used to create safer roads for everyone.
This hands-on experience links directly to their studies in Literacy and Numeracy and helps build a deeper understanding of community safety and responsibility.
