Professional Practice Days for next year

The Victorian Government Schools Agreement 2022 provides teachers with one professional practice day each year as from 2024 and subsequent school years. 

As per the Department’s VGSA 2022 Implementation Guide:

Principals should ensure that the professional practice day entitlement for teachers for 2022 and ongoing is facilitated.

The Department, alongside bargaining agents including the APF, is progressing EBA negotiations. While a new agreement is hoped for by year’s end, this is not guaranteed. Until further notice, schools should plan for 2026 on the current basis of one Professional Practice Day per teacher.
