2025 Australian School Leader Occupational Health & Wellbeing Survey 

We encourage every principal and assistant principal to complete the 2025 Australian School Leader Occupational Health & Wellbeing Survey. The survey is now live and open to all school leaders nationally. Your responses contribute to a respected, independent longitudinal study led that has shaped media, policy and sector action for more than a decade.

The 2024 findings again highlighted escalating pressures on school leaders, rising threats and violence, increased anxiety and depression, and high intent to leave while also showing leaders’ deep commitment to their work. Robust participation from Victoria strengthens the evidence base APF uses in advocacy with the Department and government.
