Welcoming Pacific Assist: A New APF Partnership Making a Real Difference

The APF is excited to announce Pacific Assist as our newest partner.
Pacific Assist is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to strengthening education across the South Pacific. Originally founded as Furniture for Schools, the organisation now supports a range of initiatives that build capacity in under-resourced communities.
Why Pacific Assist?
Many APF members want to give back. Pacific Assist provides a practical, meaningful way to do just that.
One of their core programs collects surplus school furniture and educational resources, items that would otherwise go to landfill, and gives them a second life in Pacific classrooms. As school leaders, you can help create real, lasting impact.
Pacific Assist works closely with educators and community leaders to deliver:
- Used desks and chairs
- Books and learning resources
Teacher development support
Their approach is grounded in collaboration, sustainability, and a belief in the power of education to transform lives.
Get Involved
As an APF member, you can make a tangible difference.
Here’s how:
- Donate surplus school furniture or resources: Give unused desks, chairs, and books a second life in classrooms that need them most.
- Spread the word: Share Pacific Assist’s mission with your school community and networks.
Every contribution, big or small, helps create lasting change for students and teachers across the Pacific.
Contact Rick McLean on 0419 317 356 or Richard@pacificassist.org with photos and quantities of your furniture/ resources.
