MUSIC

Primary music workshops

Each year, Saints hosts music workshops and a performance for our feeder primary schools as well as students who are enrolled to join the College the following year. In Week 8, during a pupil-free day, our music students from the CSC Concert Band and CSC String Ensemble helped mentor these students. There are many benefits to this day –  prospective students get to see our facilities, meet our current and other future students, so their transition to high school is easier, collaborate with others and perform for their parents.

The concert was a great showcase of their hard work during the the day. Thank you to the Saints students and our amazing teachers – Mr Matthew Chandler and Mrs Rebecca Austin for a very successful day.

Saints Unplugged Senior

The last Unplugged Senior for the year was held in Week 9 last term. It was a mammoth concert demonstrating the deep pool of talent the College has in Years 10-12. There were many highlights during the evening – too many to name – but it was an entertaining evening for all. Our hospitality students outdid themselves as always.

Upcoming Events

The final Saints Unplugged for the year, for Years 7–9 students, is on Tuesday 10 November in the music block. Don’t miss it, as it’ll be a cracker of a show. As always, gold coin entry and yummy meals and treats for the audience provided by our hospitality students.

A reminder that the CSC Wind Ensemble, Saints Big Band, Saints Choir and Saints Percussion Ensemble will be performing at our annual Awards Evening on Friday 20 November in Lennon Hall. If your son is unable to attend, please let us know as a matter of urgency.
