Kids Fun Run with Puffing Billy
This year’s Rotary Kids Fun Run with Puffing Billy will be held on Sunday 29th November in Gembrook and we look forward to again seeing your students participating.
Our inaugural event was held in 2002 and has evolved over time to be known as the
Rotary Kids Fun Run with Puffing Billy. The event is a signature fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Emerald & District, raising over $850,000 for children's charities, hospitals, and medical research.

ANIMAL ATTENDANT DAY: Mon 21st September (10.00am - 3pm)Ages: 13- 17 years
Hear from animal care professionals about what their role involves and the pathway that led them to RSPCA Victoria. Participants will also take part assisting with cleaning, feeding, and providing enrichment for the animals.
JUNIOR ANIMAL ATTENDANT: Wed 30th September (9.30am - 3pm)Ages: 7- 12 years
Does your child dream of working with animals? This session involves kids in some of the real tasks undertaken by RSPCA Animal Attendants each day.
FUN & GAMES DAY: Thurs 1st October (9.30am - 3pm) Ages: 7 - 12 years
Join us for a fun-filled day of games and activities at RSPCA! During this program, children will learn why play and enrichment are important for a range of pets and farm animals. And of course, there are plenty of fun games for kids too!
FIRST AID FOR PETS: Monday 28th September (9.30am - 3pm)Ages: 10 - 14 years
Would you know how to respond to an animal emergency? Let us teach you how to identify which incidents may require veterinary assistance and help you to keep yourself safe in a variety of first aid situations involving animals.
DISCOVERING DOGS: 22nd &29th September (9.30am - 3pm)Ages: 7- 12 years
This is the perfect day for dog lovers! In this session, you’ll meet our friendly education dogs and hear their stories. Let’s make treat puzzles for the dogs and observe how they use their strongest senses to find the treats.
ANIMAL RESCUE: Tuesday 24th September (9.30am - 3pm)Ages: 10- 14 years
Let’s meet an RSPCA Inspector and discover how our animal police work within the laws to help animals and their owners. Interact with our friendly pets and farm animals to discover how their lives changed thanks to RSPCA staff and volunteers.
